Utilization of Instagram as a Media for Preaching by IAI ALAZIS Students of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program in 2016

Instagram is one of the social networking media that can be used as a platform for Islamic propagation (dakwah). This research aims to understand how Instagram is utilized by Islamic Broadcasting Communication students from the class of 2016 as a medium for dakwah and to identify the advantages and disadvantages of using Instagram in this context. This study employs a qualitative research method, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. Primary data sources were obtained from students of the Islamic Broadcasting Communication program at IAI AL-AZIS, class of 2026, while secondary data sources include literature such as books, journal articles, and internet platforms. The research findings indicate that Instagram usage by Islamic Broadcasting Communication students as a medium for dakwah is considered effective due to its broad audience reach and accessibility. Instagram is used both as a platform for delivering dakwah and as a source of dakwah content. Its advantages include its popularity among the public and ease of access at any time. However, some drawbacks exist, such as the high internet data requirement and the limited duration for video content
